2 injured as car smashes into McDonald’s

“A child and an infant suffered minor injuries in the Anaheim incident.”

Two children suffered minor injuries when an SUV ran into a McDonald’s this morning, police said.

A 77-year-old woman backed her Saturn Vue into the side door of a McDonald’s at 740 North Euclid, said Sgt. Rick Martinez of the Anaheim police.

An infant and a child who were inside the restaurant were taken to a hospital after the 11:18 a.m. incident. A woman, possibly their mother, went with them in the ambulance, Martinez said.

The driver of the SUV has complained of pain, Martinez said. The right side view mirror of the SUV came off and the back panel was dented, Martinez said. Her SUV was pulled out of the restaurant by a tow truck.

The woman might have been backing out of a handicapped parking spot across from the side door, Martinez said.
