2 injured in Tustin crash

Two people were injured in a collision near Irvine Boulevard and Newport Avenue in Tustin a little before 1 p.m.

The crash took place on Holt Avenue near Irvine Boulevard at 12:59 p.m., said Capt. Greg McKeown of the Orange County Fire Authority.

Heavy rescue equipment was called in, but was not needed.

The two people were taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital, McKeown said.
