3-year-old ejected, killed in roll-over

A 3-year-old San Bernardino boy died last night after being ejected from a car during a roll-over accident at the Colton freeway interchange, according to San Bernardino County coroner’s officials.

Anthony Amaya died at 9:05 p.m. Sunday at Loma Linda University Medical Center. He had been a rear-seat passenger in a 2005 Chevy Malibu that flipped at 8:18 p.m. while making the transition from the southbound lanes of I-215 to the westbound lanes of Interstate 10.

California Highway Patrol officers are investigating.
