6 injured in 5 Freeway crash

Six motorists suffered minor injuries in a three- vehicle collision on the Golden State (5) Freeway in Boyle Heights, authorities said today.
The accident on the southbound Golden State Freeway at Whittier Boulevard was reported just after 10:45 p.m. Monday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

According to an On Scene Video camera crew, a box truck struck the back of a van, which then rear-ended a car.

Six people were taken to hospitals with minor injuries, Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman d’Lisa Davies said.
