9-year-old girl on life support after being pulled from pool
ARCADIA – A 9-year-old girl pulled from a swimming pool in Arcadia was on life-support today at a hospital, police said.
Police and paramedics were sent to the 1300 block of Michillinda Avenue about 2:20 p.m. Monday, Arcadia police Sgt. Stephen Fallavollita said.
The girl, whose name was withheld, was hospitalized in critical condition, Fallavollita said.
The girl was swimming with other children in the backyard pool of a friend’s home when someone noticed her under water in the deep end, Fallavollita said.
The homeowners administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation to the girl until authorities arrived, Fallavollita said.
