Bicyclist crossing freeway off-ramp hit by car, hospitalized

IRVINE – A bicyclist crossing an off-ramp on Jeffrey Road at Roosevelt has been taken to a hospital this morning after being hit by a vehicle, the California Highway Patrol said.

The CHP got a call about the incident at 8:29 a.m. Initial reports said that the collision involved two vehicles but authorities later learned that a bicyclist was hit.

The bicyclist was taken to Kaiser Medical Center. The condition of the person was not immediately released.
