Bicyclist hurt in crash with pickup
IRVINE A bicyclist was taken to a local hospital after being struck by a car, officials said.
The crash, involving a black Chevrolet pickup, was reported at 11:39 a.m., said Capt. Greg McKeown of the Orange County Fire Authority.
Paramedics and officers with the Irvine Police Department received a call of the crash at Daybreak and Blue Lake, McKeown said.
The bicyclist was taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana. The extent of injuries was unknown.
