Boy, 6, hit by car; driver flees
A 6-year-old Fontana boy suffered critical head injuries yesterday when he chased a ball into the street and was struck by a hit-and-run motorist, police say.
The accident was reported at 3:24 p.m. Sunday along the 17200 block of Miller Avenue. The child was hit by a gray 1997 Mitsubishi Montero.
Officers later found and arrested a 17-year-old girl who was booked into San Bernardino Juvenile Hall for investigation of hit-and-run driving.
