Driver killed in Highway 74 wreck
A 33-year-old Perris man died last night of injuries he suffered during a traffic collision along Highway 74 between Perris and Lake Elsinore, according to Riverside County coroner’s officials.
Robert Chavira died at Menifee Valley Medical Center about an hour after the 7:05 p.m. wreck Sunday at Ethanac Road.
Chavira was driving a minivan that collided with a sport utility vehicle. Officers from the Temecula office of the California Highway Patrol are investigating.
