Driver pulled from car after collision with school bus
IRVINE As many as six vehicles, including a school bus, have been involved in a crash this morning at southbound I-5 just north of Avery Parkway, the California Highway Patrol says.
Two to three lanes were partially blocked by emergency crews who responded to the collision at 8:01 a.m.
The CHP has received several reports about the vehicles possibly involved: a black compact car on the right shoulder, a black sedan in the center divider, two to three others in the center divider, and a green Subaru in the center divider.
Firefighters at the scene said that a man driving a black Ford Mustang convertible had to be pulled out the vehicle and was taken to a hospital.
Other injuries were not immediately reported.
