Helping The Hesperia Hero

Greg Mills reported Tuesday about Ernie Williams, a young Hesperia man who pushed his mom out of the way of a speeding car, but he ended up getting hit and has suffered severe injuries — including a brain injury.

Williams told Mills he doesn’t really even remember his mother. “But she must have been a good mother,” he says, matter-of-fact, “because she is caring for me.”

A fund has been set up to help with his medical expenses. A friend has dubbed Williams “The Hero of Hesperia” and that’s not a title we can argue with.
