A man was killed Friday and two other people were injured when two trucks collided on Pacific Coast Highway in Pacific Palisades, authorities said.

The accident took place a half mile south of Temescal Canyon shortly before 7 a.m. and shut down the northbound side of PCH, Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Melissa Kelley said.

The man who was killed was related to the two other victims, who suffered minor injuries, according to Kelley.
