Motorcycle, scooter collide in Orange

One woman was taken to a hospital this morning after her motorcycle collided with a scooter, authorities said.

Shortly after 8 a.m., Orange police responded to a call about a crash at Cannon Street and Carver Lane, in which a blue and white Harley Davidson motorcycle ran into a silver scooter, police at the scene said.

The rider of the motorcycle, a woman, was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, a firefighter at the scene said.

The woman was expected to be OK, the firefighter said. The scooter rider, also a woman, appeared unhurt at the scene.

One lane on southbound Cannon was blocked as the vehicles were removed from the road.
