Motorcyclist, 63, dies 10 days after crash

ORANGE – A 63-year-old motorcyclist has died from injuries he suffered during a collision last weekend, police said.

James Thomas Walsh, of Lakewood, died at 9:30 a.m. today at UCI Medical Center in Orange, said Orange police Sgt. Dan Adams.

On Sunday Jan. 24, Walsh was headed east on Santiago Canyon Road, east of Jamboree Road, when he veered onto oncoming traffic and collided with a Toyota Highlander, Adams said.

Walsh was traveling with other motorcyclists, but they were not injured. The Toyota driver was unharmed, Adams said.
Alcohol was not a factor in the collision. The investigation is ongoing.

Police are asking anyone with information about the accident to call 714-744-7460.
