Motorcyclist killed in collision with pickup ID’d

Authorities have released the name of the 39-year-old Riverside motorcyclist who died last night after colliding with a pickup truck that had turned left in front of him.

Raymond Oren Reiter died at 5:59 p.m. Tuesday at Riverside Community Hospital, less than an hour after the wreck along the 5900 block of Grand Avenue in Riverside, according to Riverside County coroner’s officials.

Reiter was riding north on Grand Avenue when a 2002 Chevy S-10 pickup truck turned left into a driveway from the southbound lanes of Grand Avenue, police Sgt. Dave Rudy said in a written statement. The motorcycle hit the truck’s front fender.

The 28-year-old Riverside woman who was driving the truck wasn’t hurt.

Anyone with information on the wreck may call Detective Joe Avila at 951-353-7985.
