Pedestrian struck, killed in Gardena

A 57-year-old pedestrian was struck by a minivan in Gardena and later died at a hospital, police said today.

The crash was reported at 10:34 p.m. Tuesday in the 2500 block of Rosecrans Avenue, according to a Gardena Police Department statement.

The man was taken to UCLA Harbor Medical Center, where he died of his injuries, police said.

The man’s name was withheld pending family notification. The Gardena police Traffic Bureau was conducting an investigation.
