Two killed in rollover crash on I-15

Two people were killed last night in a rollover crash on Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass, authorities said.

Coroner’s officials identified the victims as George Perry, 58, and Clara Perry, 59, both of Rancho Cucamonga.

The single-vehicle crash was reported about 7 p.m. on southbound Interstate 15 north of Highway 138, according to a San Bernardino County coroner’s office news release.

California Highway Patrol officers arrived to find a red 2001 Ford Explorer overturned in the dirt ravine on the west side of the freeway, authorities. According to witnesses, the SUV, driven by Clara Perry, was traveling 60 to 65 mph in the inside lane when it veered across the lanes and rolled several times, release said. The cause of the crash was under investigation.
