Two Wilmington crashes leave at least 2 injured, one critically
One woman was injured when her vehicle plunged down an embankment off the Terminal Island (103) Freeway in Wilmington on Wednesday night, and another person was critically injured in a later nearby accident.
The first accident occurred at 8:15 p.m. and left the woman trapped, said d’Lisa Davies of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
A two-vehicle collision about 30 minutes later in the 1400 block of North Island Avenue in Wilmington left at least one person critically injured. Another person may also have been injured, Davies said.
