Woman arrested after toll road crash

LAKE FOREST – One woman was arrested after she hit a van this morning on the 241, the CHP said.

The woman, driving a two-door gray Toyota Matrix, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of prescription drugs, CHP Officer Nelson said.

The woman was traveling southbound on the 241 just before the Alton Parkway overpass when she clipped a gold van on the left rear corner, CHP Officer Hall said.

She lost control and swerved abruptly to the right and into the barrier wall. She spun after hitting the wall and came to rest on the right shoulder, just south of Alton Parkway.

She refused treatment from paramedics.
