Woman Crashes Car Into Redondo Beach Boutique

A 61-year-old woman crashed her Toyota Highlander into a Redondo Beach women’s boutique in the early Thursday morning.

Luckily, the shop was closed at the time and reportedly, the woman walked away uninjured.

The neighboring jewelry store’s exterior surveillance camera recorded the crash as the vehicle sped up onto the sidewalk and careened into the store.

Footage showed the woman opening her car door as a bystander rushed over to assist.

Ella Boutique owner, Teppy Berman said that aside from the extensive exterior damage done to her store, a counter and a table were ruined inside and dust covered all of her merchandise.

Work crews labored into the afternoon clearing shattered glass, bricks and other building debris from the sidewalk and were preparing to cover the open windows with plywood.

Berman was unsure how long her boutique would be closed, but said she hopes to open once the structure of the building is secure.
