Woman is killed in Antelope Valley Freeway crash
PALMDALE – A woman was killed today in an accident on the northbound Antelope Valley (14) Freeway in the Palmdale area, authorities said.
The crash occurred about 7:35 a.m. near Avenue S, the California Highway Patrol reported.
According to the preliminary investigation, the woman was ejected from a vehicle that overturned, said Assistant Chief Ed Winter of the coroner’s office. Her name was withheld, pending notification of relatives.
Two northbound lanes were blocked while an investigation was conducted into the circumstances of the crash, the CHP reported.
