Woman killed in crash with tree ID’d

Coroner’s officials have released the name of a 33-year-old Moreno Valley woman who was killed yesterday when her car spun out of control and crashed into trees along a freeway in Mira Loma.

Tomika Monique Washington died at the scene of the 1:20 a.m. wreck Tuesday along the eastbound lanes of Highway 60 on the Country Village Drive off-ramp.

A 16-year-old Moreno Valley boy in the passenger seat of the 1993 Toyota suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

The cause of the accident was not immediately determined. Officers from the California Highway Patrol office in Riverside are investigating.
