Woman slashed in face during fight outside nightclub

A 22-year-old woman from Costa Mesa was arrested early this morning outside Triangle Square on suspicion of slashing another woman in the face.

Erika Monique Milton was booked into Orange County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and driving under the influence.
Police were called to Triangle Square at 1870 Newport Blvd. at 1:50 a.m. regarding a fight between two patrons of one of the two nightclubs there, said Lt. Mark Manley of the Costa Mesa Police Department.

Milton and a 24-year-old woman got into an argument in the parking lot, and Milton slashed the woman in the face, apparently with a 2-1/2-inch knife, Manley said.

The victim was taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana to be treated for a cut across the middle of her face, Manley said.
Witnesses identified Milton, who was arrested as she pulled out of the parking lot, Manley said.

Police don’t know what started the fight, Manley said.
