Wreck along Ortega Highway kills 1

A collision has killed a motorcyclist and backed up traffic for about four miles along Highway 74 in mountains above Lake Elsinore, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A yellow Suzuki GSR tangled with a car at 4:23 a.m. near the El Cariso Fire Station along Ortega Highway, preliminary reports show. The car overturned, apparently causing minor injuries to two occupants.
A sigalert was issued and there’s no estimate on when the traffic lanes will be cleared, Officer Jaci Parent about 6:45 a.m. said from the Traffic Management Center in San Bernardino.
