Orange County Buddhist Church hosts annual Obon Festival

Orange County Buddhist Church in Anaheim celebrated with its annual two-day Obon Festival this weekend.

The festival marking the Obon holiday commemorates loved ones who have passed.

The festival featured games and shopping and several booths selling Japanese food.

At night there were taiko drums performances and Bon Odori dancing.

The dancing is a choreographed dance members of the congregation had been practicing for weeks though anyone who was in the mood could easily follow along.
