Aliso Viejo extends deadline to file for a City Council seat

Aliso Viejo has extended the filing period for two seats on the City Council to 5:30 p.m. Aug. 15.

Councilman Phil Tsunoda, who has served on Aliso Viejo City Council since 2007, will not seek re-election; therefore, the filing deadline has been extended for nonincumbents only.

The General Municipal Election is set for Tuesday, Nov. 6. To qualify, a candidate must live in Aliso Viejo and be registered to vote. For more information, contact 949-425-2506 or email city-clerk@cityofalisoviejo.com.
