by in News

Crews will continue to break down McFadden Avenue bridge this weekend, forcing the 405 Freeway to close again between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25.

The structure that connects Westminster and Huntington Beach is the first of 18 bridges to be replaced over the next five years as part of a $1.9 billion project to widen the 16-mile stretch of road between the 73 Freeway in Costa Mesa and the 605 in Long Beach.

The first phase of the two-part demolition was captured in pictures Saturday right, Aug. 18.
