Woman killed in hit-and-run near Fountain Valley intersection

FOUNTAIN VALLEY — Fountain Valley police on Monday investigated the death of a woman found near an intersection, authorities said.

The body was found at 12:14 a.m. at Warner Avenue west of Bushard Street, the Orange County coroner’s office said.

The woman apparently was hit by a motorist who fled the scene, Fountain Valley police Sgt. J. Pratt said.

Investigators planned to view surveillance video in the area in the search for leads, she said.
