MARINA DEL REY — Actress Maura Tierney was recovering Tuesday after being struck by a vehicle while riding a bicycle in the Marina del Rey area.

A vehicle clipped the rear tire of the former “ER” star’s bike about noon Monday, sending her tumbling to the ground, TMZ reported.

Tierney, who currently stars in the Showtime drama “The Affair,” was fitted with a neck brace and taken to a hospital to be checked out, according to TMZ. The driver stayed at the scene.

“Maura has been released from the hospital with no major injuries,” a rep for Tierney told People Magazine. “Thank you to everyone who has reached out with their concern.”

Neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected as factors in the collision, according to TMZ.

In addition to starring in “ER” and “The Affair,” Tierney, 53, had roles on the NBC sitcom “NewsRadio,” and was part of several successful films, including “Primal Fear,” “Primary Colors,” “Forces of Nature,” “Welcome to Mooseport,” and “Liar Liar.”

She won a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2016 for her portrayal of Helen Solloway on “The Affair.”
