by in News

GARDEN GROVE  – Two men were arrested early Saturday in the burglary of a beauty salon and another business.

Officers were sent to the Bebe beauty salon at 14098 Brookhurst St. at 1:50 a.m. after a call from the owner saying a man broke in and was still inside, Garden Grove police Sgt. Erik Leyva said.

Police detained one man who was walking away from the business, Leyva said in a news release. A second suspect jumped out a damaged window and ran from the location, and officers gave chase, he said. The man was apprehended after a short foot pursuit.

“Upon searching the location, officers noticed the suspects had entered the beauty salon and tunneled into a secondary business,” he said. “They used a blow torch and other construction equipment to enter and damage property within both businesses.”

The suspects were identified as Travis Laguisan, 44, and Anthony Fernandez, 40, both of Westminster.

Police did not immediately release the name of the other business.

Detectives were investigating whether the suspects are responsible for any other commercial burglaries, according to the release.  Anyone with information should call Garden Grove police at 714-741-5872.
