Boy, 2, hospitalized after he’s bitten by family’s Rottweiler in Norwalk

NORWALK — A 2-year-old boy was bitten in the face Saturday by his family’s Rottweiler, authorities said.

The bite was reported about 1:25 p.m. at a home in the 12100 block of Zeus Avenue, according to Lt. J. Marchena of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Norwalk station.

The boy was taken to a hospital with injuries not believed life- threatening, Marchena said.

The boy’s father was bitten in the arm but did not require transport to a hospital, he said.

The dog was taken into custody by the Southeast Area Animal Control Authority, which was investigating the bite, Marchena said.
