3 arrested after armed robbery at Orange check-cashing business

by in News

Three suspects were in custody following an armed robbery at a check-cashing business in Orange on Thursday, April 25.

The robbery at Advance America, 2321 W. Chapman Ave., occurred just after 10 a.m., said Sgt. Phil McMullin of the Orange Police Department.

A man holding what appeared to be a gun demanded cash and fled with an undisclosed amount of money, McMullin said. He got into a getaway car, but the BMW slammed into a sound wall while entering the 57 Freeway at Chapman, the sergeant said.

Three suspects got out of the car and fled, but police quickly rounded them up with help from Anaheim Police Department’s helicopter crew, McMullin said. Officers later found a replica firearm and stolen cash that had been tossed out of the vehicle while it was pursued by police.

The suspects were later identified as Travion Brown, 22; Terrell Brown, 25; and Eric Michell, 24. All three were booked on suspicion of armed robbery, McMullin said.
