1 person killed, 1 injured in high-speed crash in Garden Grove

GARDEN GROVE – One person was killed and another injured in a high-speed, two-car crash late Saturday.

The collision occurred at the intersection at Euclid Street and Westminster Avenue at shortly after 11:30 p.m. Garden Grove Police Sgt. Royce Wimmer said.

One driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The other person was transported to Garden Grove Medical Center.

Details about the crash, in an intersection sharing a border with Santa Ana, were not immediately available on Sunday morning. Police were investigating whether street racing, drugs or alcohol were factors.
