A person died and three others were injured in a rollover crash involving two vehicles in Norwalk on Monday, May 13.

The collision took place near the intersection of East Rosecrans and Funston Avenues at about 2:14 p.m., Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesman Marvin Lim said. Two people were ejected from a vehicle that had rolled over, one died at the scene.

The other person who had been launched out of their seat and two other people involved in the crash were taken to nearby hospitals, Lim said.

One patient was in critical condition and a second had sustained serious injuries. The third person who was hospitalized Monday was able to walk when firefighters arrived, LA County Fire officials said in a Tweet.

Authorities shut down a section of Rosecrans Avenue between Pioneer and Norwalk boulevards as Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies conducted an investigation Monday afternoon.
