Cal State Long Beach Police look for carjacker, stolen vehicle

Police at Cal State Long Beach are looking for a car and the armed man suspected of stealing it on Wednesday afternoon.

The incident happened at around 1:40 p.m. on the fourth floor of the Pyramid Parking Structure, just south of Atherton Street. Authorities said the suspect approached the victim and spoke with the victim for roughly 10 minutes.

During the conversation, the suspect turned the victim around, put a handgun to his neck, stole his keys and left campus in the vehicle, police said.

The vehicle stolen was a 2009 silver Lexus RX350. The license plate number was not immediately available.

Police said the suspect was a 5-foot-8-inch, 160 pound man in his  20s with unkempt facial hair and light brown, medium length hair. He was last seen wearing a royal blue windbreaker.
