Firefighters knock down blaze that heavily damages Laguna Niguel home
A two-story home in Laguna Niguel was heavily damaged after fire ravaged the garage and extended into the second story on Saturday, authorities said.
Orange County firefighters were called to the home in the 31000 block of Isla Vista just before 2:30 p.m., Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Tony Bommarito said.
A woman who was in the house was able to get outside safely before firefighters arrived, Bommarito said.
Firefighters knocked down fire in the garage in a little less than 10 minutes, but took an additional 15 minutes to knock down the fire on the second story.

No injuries were reported and firefighters were working to save as many personal belongings as possible, officials said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation and authorities did not immediately have an estimate for the cost of the damage.
