1 injured in Veterans Affairs hospital bus crash

A Veteran Affairs hospital bus was involved in an accident today on the westbound Santa Monica (10) Freeway in the Mid-City area, and one person was injured, authorities said.

Paramedics were sent to the area of Washington Boulevard shortly before 9 a.m., said d’Lisa Davies of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Eighteen people were on the VA bus, and one was taken to a hospital with what Davies called a minor injury.
