1 killed, 1 injured in Brea Canyon crash

A person was killed and another sustained major injures after a head-on collision Tuesday around 5 p.m. on Brea Canyon Road just north of the Orange County boundary line near Diamond Bar, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials said the cause of the crash is unknown at this time. KABC/7 reported a motorist hit a berm then swerved into oncoming traffic.

The road was temporarily closed after the crash and has been reopened in both directions, CHP Officer Jose Nuñez said.

There were at least three other vehicles that were involved in the crash, he said.
