Big-rig crash blocks freeway lanes

COSTA MESA – A two-vehicle crash sent one driver to the hospital and blocked lanes on the northbound 73 connector to the northbound I-405 Wednesday morning.

The crash was reported to the CHP at 7:08 a.m. and involved a big rig and a Toyota Celica.

According to CHP officer DiMaggio, the Celica was traveling too fast and drifted to the right side of the semi.
