Dead pilot ID’d as El Segundo man

Coroner’s officials have officially identified an El Segundo man as the pilot of a plane that crashed last week in San Bernardino County.

Everett Arinwine, 47, was the pilot of the Cessna 340 that was discovered near Lytle Creek.

His passenger, Angela Todd, 42, of Horn Lake, Miss., also was killed, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said.

Their plane was lost from radar at 8:30 p.m. Jan. 18 while en route from Henderson, Nev. to Compton Airport.

Family members reported the aircraft overdue two days later.

California Civil Air Patrol members searched the area and found the wreckage in Sycamore Canyon on Thursday.

Arinwine was owner of F&E Aircraft Maintenance, which has an office at 531 Main St. in El Segundo.
