Santa Ana police asking public’s assistance to find missing at-risk man

Santa Ana police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 44-year-old man who went missing two weeks ago, authorities said Tuesday.

Victor De Jesus Munoz was last seen by his caretaker at his residence in the 1200 block of East Fairhaven Avenue on July 25. Munoz suffers from schizophrenia, is bipolar and takes daily medication, police said.

He has a speech impediment and walks with a slight limp, according to police. Munoz is not known to be aggressive and does not carry a cell phone. He can communicate his name and date of birth, but not his home address, police said.

His primary method of transportation is on foot. He is known to frequent the 7-Eleven on Fairhaven Avenue and Grand Avenue in Santa Ana.

Munoz has been reported missing in the past and is known to frequent the intersection of Garden Grove Boulevard and Euclid Street, Hart Park in Orange and the Ralphs grocery store on Main Street and Chapman Avenue in Orange, police said.
