Chino man charged with sexually assaulting 4 girls in La Habra over 10-year period

SANTA ANA — A 42-year-old Chino man was arrested Friday and charged Tuesday with sexually assaulting four girls in La Habra between 1999 and 2008.

Wesley Gerardo Estrada was charged with five counts of lewd acts with a minor and single counts of forced oral copulation, rape of an unconscious person and forcible rape, all felonies. La Habra police said he is also known as Wesley Gerardo Estrada De Leon.

At least two of the girls were younger than 14, according to court records.

According to court documents, the first alleged victim was assaulted from November 2001 through November 2004, while the second was assaulted from January 2002 though January 2008.

The third alleged victim’s assaults occurred between August 1999 through August 2003, according to court records. The fourth alleged victim was attacked from May 2000 through May 2004.

Estrada was being held on $2 million bail, according to jail records. He appeared in court Tuesday, but his arraignment was postponed until Oct. 5.
