It was a very happy Halloween for former patients of Fountain Valley Hospital’s neonatal unit

Former patients of the neonatal intensive care unit at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital & Medical Center got together with their doctors and nurses on Wednesday, Oct. 31, for a combination reunion and Halloween party.

In all, more than 400 people showed up to celebrate the first gathering of its kind at the hospital in about a decade.

“These are kids who when they were born were in the NICU. The extent of their stay was a day to months,” said hospital spokeswoman Jessica Chen.

“It was very emotional.”
