Stanton Mayor David John Shawver holds lead in city’s first mayoral election

Mayor David John Shawver held a strong lead Tuesday night in Stanton’s first mayoral election, leading Councilman Brian Donahue and Israel Hilario-Perez.

In the city’s first district election, Gary Taylor was out in front over Loreen Berlin, Romona M. Macias and James Michael Scott for the District 3 seat; and Mayor Pro Tem Rigoberto A. Ramirez ran unopposed in District 1.
