Man shot in Santa Ana, expected to survive

A man was recovering at a hospital after he was shot in Santa Ana just after midnight on Monday, Nov. 26.

A caller reported the shooting at 12:05 a.m. near the intersection of Evergreen Street and Warner Avenue, said Santa Ana Police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.

Responding paramedics found a 23-year-old man who had been shot, and transported him to Orange County Global Medical Center, according to Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Tony Bommarito. He said the victim was expected to survive his injuries.

Information regarding a possible motive, suspects, or further circumstances of the shooting were not immediately released by police.
