Lucy’s story: Lucy was the typical sad senior left at a shelter by people who apparently no longer cared for her. She had hot, raw skin and hair that was a mess. She was a mess, truth be told. But a wonderful foster reached out to Shamrock and asked if we would save her if she took her in. So we did, and she did, and now Lucy is healthy, happy and shining. And she’s ready for her forever home. She figures things out easily, despite being blind and deaf. She gets along well with other dogs and likes nothing more than to cuddle and get back rubs. Most people are afraid to look behind special needs like blindness when adopting, but to a dog, being blind is no big deal. They adapt very well, and Lucy is a prime example. All she needs is someone to open their heart and see what a special little girl she is.
