Man fatally shot in Santa Ana

A man was fatally shot in Santa Ana on Sunday, Dec. 9.

A resident reported the shooting at about 5:15 p.m. near the intersection of St. Andrew Place and South Kilson Drive, said Santa Ana Police Commander Robert Rodriguez. He said officers responding to the call found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso.

The man was transferred to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, said Rodriguez. His identity was not immediately released.

Information regarding a motive, or a description of any possible suspects was not immediately available from authorities.
