3 men rob Garden Grove store of cell phones at gunpoint

Garden Grove police are hunting for three men who they say robbed a cell phone store Tuesday, Dec. 11.

Officers responded about 3:40 p.m. Tuesday to the Metro PCS store in the 12800 block of Haster Street and learned that three men entered the store and asked about cell phones. One removed a gun from his waistband, showed it to the employee and then returned it to his waistband, police said.

Two suspects went into the back stockroom and took a large number of cell phones, opened a cash register and took the money.

The suspects fled the store on foot and were last seen walking southbound on Haster Street. The employee was not injured during the robbery.

The men were described as a Hispanic age 20-25, 6 feet and 180 pounds wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, jeans, white shoes and a backpack; a Hispanic, age 20-25, 5-foot-7 and 180 pounds wearing a blue jacket, jeans and a baseball hat; and Hispanic, age 20-25, 5-foot-8 and 170 pounds wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with black sleeves, black jeans, black shoes and sunglasses.
