Police seek public’s help to identify Santa Ana sexual assault suspect

The Santa Ana Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man suspected of sexually assaulting a woman at a bus stop.

On Saturday, Jan. 5, police said a man wearing a #82 Dallas Cowboys jersey attacked a woman in her 50s waiting at a bus stop on the 1000 block of West MacArthur Boulevard in Santa Ana.

“The violent attack occurred on the sidewalk as numerous motorists drove by,” police said in a statement on Tuesday.

An Orange County Transportation Authority bus arrived at the stop, and the suspect ran from the area, officials said. Surveillance video of the man running away can be found here.
