City News Service reported Delta Air Lines Flight 2432 from Los Angeles International Airport to Seattle was struck by lightning and safely returned to Los Angeles International Airport to be inspected Tuesday night. No emergency was declared and no injuries were reported, according to Charles Pannunzio of Los Angeles World Airports, the city agency that operates the airport.

Heavy rain was reported in the Thomas fire burn area, prompting the National Weather Service to issue a Flash Flood Warning for western Ventura County and southeastern Santa Barbara County including Carpinteria and Santa Paula. That warning was effective through 10:30 p.m.
